It reveals His will to have a relationship with mankind and it is the divine authority of the Christian faith.
There is one God who is the creator of all things and is infinitely perfect, all knowing and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ is both God and man, having been conceived by God the Father and born of a woman, the virgin Mary. His death on the cross was the complete and final sacrifice for our sins. He also arose physically from the dead, ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of Father God.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ; to convict people of sin; to regenerate the repentant sinner; and to indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the Christian for Godly living and service.
The first man and woman, Adam and Eve, were created in the image of God. They were alive both physically and spiritually and had constant communion with God. When Adam disobeyed God, the sacred relationship was broken causing spiritual death, meaning a separation from God. This spiritual death/separation from God affected Adam, Eve and all of their offspring including all those physically alive today.
Belief in the work, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the avenue to salvation and to reestablishing the relationship with God that was lost by Adam. All those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become spiritually reborn children of God.
The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through faith have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. These believers in Christ are called Christians and together make up the body of Christ.
Water baptism is immersion of a person in water after they have accepted Christ as personal Savior. It is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ.
The Lord’s Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. Only believers should share in the Lord’s Supper.
